In the Haydn Year we visit Esterházy Palace, the long-time working place of Joseph Haydn. The Palace´s magnificent ambience invites to a fascinating journey through Haydn´s life in the service of the Esterházy Princes. The master of ceremonies relates from Haydn´s extraordinary work at court and his contribution to the princely representation. After a short walk through the old town, we drive through the countryside of Lake Neusiedl, an area on the UNESCO list of world heritage sights. In Rust, the city of storks, you have the possibility for lunch accompanied by Gipsy Music. Enjoy an impressing boat cruise on Lake Neusiedl, which is Europe´s largest steppe lake and a unique paradise for birds on the Austrian-Hungarian border.
