When visiting Lake Balaton we suggest overnighting in the town of Siofok. Siofok is the center of summer life on the lake as it is bustling with restaurants and nightlife. Maybe not for everyone so those looking for a more quiet and relaxing experience there are a handful of peaceful lakefront villages. The lake and its surroundings offer a variety of outdoor activities including swimming, canoeing and sailing. If the weather is cooperating you do not want to miss taking a dip in the lake's blue waters.
