Skocjan Caves and Lipica Stud Farm

Skocjanske jame is the largest known underground canyon (2600m long, 10 to 60m wide, up to 146m high) that has since 1986 been added to the list of UNESCO world and cultural heritage. River Reka loudly running through the cave in rapids makes the cave even more interesting. The visit to the canyon and the picturesque spacious halls last approx. 1.5 hour and it is attended by experienced guides – be prepared for a light ascent.
Kobilarna Lipica is the cradle of the noble white Lipizzaner horse – in the summer guided tours through the classical school of horse back riding can be taken. Lipica today is a famous tourist city with all the comfortable infrastructure of hotels, riding grounds, casino, golf court and beautiful nature where Lipizzaner horses promenade. 
We recommend a quick stop in the Wine Shop for a glass of teran wine and a treat with slices of typical cold Karst meats
