Berlin is a place that is forever evolving, it has seen the destruction of WWII and the division of east and west during the cold war. Berlin has been the fastest changing city in Europe since the wall came down in the late 80's. It holds both the titie as the capital of Germany as well as the country's largest city. Berlin is known for many things including its historical past as the German capital before the war. internationalism and tolerance, lively nightlife, its bustling cafes, street art as well as a variety of museums/galleries, striking palaces, and numerous other sites of historical interest.

Berlin is a sprawling destination with many of its major sights spread out throughout the city so you will find yourself taking advantage of its extensive public transport network. Berlin is made up of many unique distinctive neighborhoods offering something for every taste. Berlin provides a very multicultural and diverse experience so you can expect anything but the traditional. This also goes for the cuisine as you will find more international restaurants than those serving German fare. This is not say you can't find a tasty brew and a mouthwatering sausage, it is still part of Germany!
